Marques'Almeida fall winter 2015-16 collection presented at London fashion week. They work denim with transparencies, asymmetrical shapes worked in a minimal and sober line and keeping it "casual". They use fabrics in their natural state, reworking the denim with a sens of rebellion and a certain modernity. The portuguese duo, Marta Marques & Paulo Almeida started their own label in 2011. They started showing their collection at Lisboa fashion week then in London. " It’s gone a long time since we last heard from Unai. During the first few years of the 2000’s the solo project from Swedish artist and producer Erik Möller gained a worldwide following for his unique form of emotional techno. His first two albums ended up on end-of-the-year-lists worldwide. He was nominated for a Swedish grammy award and praised by everyone from the New York Times and indie kids to the most fundamental of minimal techno dj’s. And then: silence. For nine years, apart a few collaborations like for Kris Menace’s MTV presented “Features” Album and some rare remixes (listen here). His latest album ”A love moderne” (2006) earned a lot of love from both critics and audiences. New York Times said: “An early contender for electronic-music album of the year” and The Wire called it “A strong affecting listen”.

You hear hints of dark techno basements and echoes of dub in the sparse and muffled soundscapes of “Human empire”, but it’s at the same time a step far beyond the dancefloor. On “Human Empire” his love for melancholic songwriting, cold synth, bass music and modern r’n’b has taken the front seat. With pulsing slo-mo house rhythms, rusty synth arpeggios, growling hoover basslines, silky Rhodes-chords and his unmistakable voice, Unai explores the passing of time, heartbreak, boredom, lost friendships, childhood, nocturnal escapism and of course – love. Often all at once, within one song.
For the first time ever, Unai wasn’t alone during the recordings. Artists and musicians such as Tomas Bodén from experimental pop band Differnet (on modular electronics), Lisa and Kristofer Ulfves of ambient duo Lisa & Kroffe (flute & clarinet) and guitarist Erik Asplund all put their vital parts into the album. Lyrics on some of the songs are translated poems by Erik’s late father.

Balenciaga new fragrance signed by perfumer of IFF, Domitille Michalon Bertier. B. BALENCIAGA was created carefully with reference to “every element required in the process of evaluation of what had been done and what had never been done before,” says Alexander Wang, creative director of the brand Balenciaga, that with new fragrance wants to make a new breakthrough of the house and to transfer the DNA of the brand with the composition, design of the bottle and style.

The composition of the fragrance B. Balenciaga was announced as green and tart, very strong, with subnotes of subtle woodsy shades. The top notes are composed of lily of the valley, violet leaves and green accords of edamame peas. The heart incorporates orris and cedar, while the base incorporates ambrette seed and cashmere wood.

The flacon is very elegant and artistic. The glass of the bottle is inspired by the marble floor of Balenciaga’s salon located at 10 Avenue George V in Paris, while the stopper was created to suggest the modern style that Balenciaga has cherished in fashion creations and in making accessories. Savage Beauty - Alexander McQueen

"Celebrating the extraordinary creative talent of one of the most innovative designers of recent times, Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty will be the first and largest retrospective of McQueen's work to be presented in Europe. The V&A is delighted to announce that it will present Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty in London in spring 2015. The first and largest retrospective of the late designer’s work to be presented in Europe, the exhibition will showcase McQueen’s visionary body of work. Spanning his 1992 MA graduate collection to his unfinished A/W 2010 collection, McQueen’s designs will be presented with the dramatic staging and sense of spectacle synonymous with his runway shows.

The original version of Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York in 2011 (video here below) was organised by the Costume Institute and became one of the Museum's top 10 most visited exhibitions."

The 4 Winners of Next Generation 2015 contest are Alessandro Canti & Gianluca Viscomi, Claudio Cutugno, Deyse Maria Cottini and Luca Lin.

Next Generation contest 2015, by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana is the contest for young talented fashion designers in Italy. The prize is the production of a 12 outfit collection and a show during Milano Moda Donna. The Jury, who have met the Next generation semi-finalists, represent the whole of the fashion system, including institutions, businesses, trade press and retail. The young designers presented their collection projects to the five Jury members and the Ambassador and spoke to them about their experiences and dreams.

The members of the jury were: Jane Reeve (from Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana), Danda Santini (editor of ELLE italia), Mario dell'oglio ( Italian chamber of fashion buyers), Carla Biffi (Biffi brand), Carlo Capasa (founder of Costume National & the coach stylist Simone Guidarelli. The embassador for the edition was the famous blogger Chiara Ferragni (TheBlondeSalad.com). Her role as Ambassador of Next Generation 2015 reflects her deep interest in the new generation of Made in Italy designers, new talents and creativity. Having acted as a member of the Jury, Chiara was called on to illustrate the contest in the web serie and will pose for Elle Italia wearing the garments designed by the winner of the Special Prize to be awarded at the Next Generation 2015 show.

Los Angeles singer/songwriter Chelsea Lankes  follows up her song of sweet rebellion "Down For Whatever" today with "Too Young To Fall In Love," a cover of one of Mötley Crüe's earlier singles and deeper cuts.

The french M83 (Anthony Gonzalez) combines his talent to that of american sisters trio HAIM for a title named "Holes in The Sky" that you can listen below, until the release of "The Divergent series : Insurgent" (original motion picture soundtrack), in theaters on 18 March. This is M83’s second contribution to the Divergent series. The 1st one was with the fabulous track “I Need You” (listen below) that appeared in the first film in the series. The film soundtrack, will features songs by Royal Blood, Anna Calvi, Zella Day, SOHN, Imagine Dragons, Woodkid and Lykke Li.

The Vipp Shelter, a prefabricated getaway house of 55m2 surrounded by nature. Vipp has made a shelter that allows you to escape in a 55m2 all inclusive nature retreat. This project exploits the benefits of a pre-fabrication allowing the process to be easy, speedy and cost-efficient. Production takes place in Frederiksværk, Denmark and is estimated to approximately 5-6 months + freight & installation. The simple steel grid structurally supports the two level space, where only the bathroom and bed loft is shielded from the main living space. Within the transparent shell, nature is omnipresent yet with a physical blindage that provides shelter from weather conditions. The point of departure is not a piece of land on which a house has been customized taking into consideration the natural surroundings. Rather the Vipp Shelter is prefabricated and built to fit any type of landscape and natural conditions. The only choice left to the customer is where to place it.

“ The objective was not to make a house or a mobile home. Vipp is rooted in the manufacture of industrial objects, so the term shelter is a typology that allows us to define this hybrid as a spacious, functionally generic, livable object ”
